writes: I started a new sociology course this year and there was a cute guy there. We got talking and we flirt and he stares at me when I'm talking. But he has started to see another girl in our group (who by the way, I get on with). I ended up telling him that I liked him and he just went really quiet and bright red. He told his new girlfriend this and also told her that if she wasn't there he would have gone out with me. I was going to leave them to it but today in our group he was looking at me again and openly flirting with me. I just do not know what to do?

reader, anonymous, writes (6 December 2005): I really dont know what this guy is all about. first he flirts with u then he starts a relationship with a girl in ur group then he tells her he would have been with u if she wasnt with him.well supposing u were his gf is that what he would say to u as well that he would be with someone else if he wasnt with u. i think u should ignore him. let him make all the move while u just relax and enjoy the attention. if he really likes u then he should be able to leave her for u. dont beat urself and try to figure out his intentions. u will know soon enough. just be cool and make other friends.
