There is nothing wrong with you .
You should not feel it as a failure.
You need to consider his age.
Your female hands may not be as effective as his male hands.
His hand is connected to his pulse and he knows how fast or how hard to shake.

 In my opinion, you cannot be doing anything wrong. The reality must be that some men require more of what may be called "friction" or "tightness" around their penile head and shaft to bring about a climax. It is not in my experience, but I truly suspect that at least many men who require that degree of friction (feeling) are accustomed to their own grip during masturbation. Such may or not be the case with any particular man, but some masturbate heavily, which makes it difficult to replicate similar feeling within a vagina or orally. In that situation, if the case, no woman should feel that they are not doing the best to bring about orgasm.

reader, anonymous, writes (19 April 2008): Use your hands like he does and then stop and use your mouth for a bit, then go back to your hands. Rotate. If nothing else you can just use only your hands the way he does and put it in your mouth when he is about to finish. That way atleast he isn't doing it and you are giving him all the pleasure without him having to do it himself. Or you could use lubricant and use both hands at the base of his penis, one going clockwise and the other hand going counter-clockwise. Put the head in your mouth if you can but mostly use your hands. Once again rotate between your mouth and using your hands. Flavored lubricant would probably be best for you.
