writes: I was with my partner for nine years, engaged for three. He moved in with me at the beginning of January this year with two of his children, with plans for us to shortly get married, then moved out at the end of January saying it wasn't working. He now won't have anything to do with me at all and everyone tells me to let go and move on, but i can't. He is my world and always will be. Where do I go from here? My life is so empty and the tears constantly flow. His daughter sent me a text saying how much she misses me and I told her I felt the same, even though I have two boys I miss my extended family. Help someone please.

At first all i did was cry, i was completely devastated and thought i would not be able to function without him. 8 months on, im not out of the woods, but i am starting to improve, and you will too, like everyone said to me, it takes time, and 2 months is not long at all. The best thing i have done since my split is learn how to salsa dance, it has opened up a whole new social life and is also keeping me fit. Its important to look after yourself and remember you will get over this awful time, however unlikely it may seem. Take care.
