hi there,

Me and my ex have been broken up for around six months. I felt that I was finally getting over him until I went on holiday. He was on the same holiday as me with his friends. We met and exclaimed that we still loved each other and decided that we would like to give it another go. Tonight he told me that he doesnt love me like he did and that he doesnt want to carry on. Im so upset..I feel like Im in agony..I want him so much and theres nothing I can do...I feel worse than the previous time we had broken up..i dont know what to do..my hearts broken and Im only eighteen..I was seeing him for two years. If anyone can give me any advice it would e greatly appreciated.

Thank you

shandygirl agony auntWhen I was your age, and my heart was breaking over a guy, an older woman told me "This probrably isn't your first BF, and it is not going to be your last." She was right, and my heart has been broken again several times since then. And each time, her words rang out in my mind, and helped me get through.

When you are in situations like this, it seems like the end of the world. But it really isn't.

Picture in your mind... Being a surfer riding the waves in an ocean. A big one comes along, then subsides until the next one comes.

The "WAVE" signifies problems that occur in your life. When the wave SUBSIDES, it signifies the moments that you finally get over and heal from your problems. Until the NEXT one, because there will always be problems that happen in everyone's life.

You are young... and now I am the older woman saying to you.... "This probrably isn't your first BF, and it is not going to be your last."

Take care XXX
