writes: Hi All,I am a mature woman in her 60's i am in a relationship with a man and have been so for the last 7yrs.Well yesterday he sent me an e-mail containing a joke which i found quite funny, but along with it was 3 full frontal photo's of women,the joke was in referance to nudity but i seen no reason to include photo's other than for perving at. the joke could have quite easily have been sent without the pictures as it was self explaining in it's context.I was quite upset to think the man i love would send me photo's of random full frontal nude women and i voiced my displeasure to him regarding this.I thought he would at least apologize for his bad taste but all i got was that i was over reacting.I would never dream of sending my love photo's of other nude men,and i feel hurt and insulted by what he has done,am i over reacting or do i have a right to feel like i do,I am not a prude and enjoy a good joke, but nude photo's of women i do not like to receive in any form from a man who says he loves me.any thoughts you have regarding this will be appreciated thank you. I agree that it was tasteless of him, but I'm not sure what there is to be hurt about.
He probably wouldn't appreciate pictures of naked men, but I doubt he'd be HURT by them. He would either tell you not to send those anymore and leave it at that or he'd say nothing unless he thought it would be a regular thing.
If you'd been more matter of fact about it, I think you'd have received a different, more favourable, response.

Me personally wouldn't think anything of it if my boyfriend done that, I would probably laugh too. My boyfriend tells me if he thinks another girl is really pretty and I will agree with him if i think she is too. I dont get jealous of it, its human nature, doesn't mean he likes me any less. An me too I will tell him if I think another man is hot, he laughs too. Sometimes he's friend might send him short sex videos on his phone, he will watch it in front of me an laugh.
Yea I think your over reacting. I believe its harmless and your boyfriend means nothing by it. Especially the fact that he has shown it to you.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 November 2014): He sounds like he only sent the pics because he knows u can take a joke and he felt he comfy enough with your relationship to do this and that u dont feel threatened b these pics maybe its the male way of sending jokes he could have felt the joke isnt complete if its not got all detail to it, id just laugh it off and not make a deal over it u can always say uve never really found rude jokes that funny (even if u did) and say what jokes u do like (to avoid rude picture ones again and to not start up any chance of argument)
