 Is he new to the neighborhood? I say do ask your mom to bake some brownies or a pie and that would give you an excuse to go knock on his door and introduce yourself. If you're a little shy and can't possibly bring yourself to knock on his door and introduce yourself then you can take one of those measuring cups knock on his door and ask for a cup of sugar. Do this when his parents aren't home so he'll be the only one helping you..chit chat with him a bit about school, and end it with a "see you around". Gets your foot in the door and you left on a mysterious note..Wave to him if you see him leaving to go to school. hopefully you guys will be friendly in no time.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 September 2010): you should go up to him and talk to him, and find out if you two could hang out together... even if he rejects you even in the meanest possible way... you know you at least tried... don't let your feelings get hurt... that is what life is about... trying your luck... how will you know the answer if you don't ask? In life, as they say, you regret what you didn't do, not what you did.
