Hi, My friend introduced one guy to me, two days later he dated me out for dinner and movie.

On the whole, I considered it was a pleasant date, he's nice and gentleman, despite that at times, we remained silence and I just looked at other direction while he was eating, maybe my gesture had given him the wrong sigals, but actually I was a little uneasy to dine with a new guy, furthermore he is not the chatty type :(

We went had a buffet dinner, unfortunately, I was a small eater, thus, I didn't eat much, I do not know will guy mind about this, I do sound him that Im concern about my weight.

Initially, I thought everything goes on smoothly and expecting that we will date again, however, he didn't contact me after the first date, I told my friend, my friend encourage me to date him for dinner or send msg to him etc...

Here is my questions, he didn't contact me, is he expecting me to contact him or rather he is hinting that he's not keen in me.

Am I giving him the wrong signals, I'm not so chatty during the first date?

Should I contact him or give up?

Thank you,

Kin

Dear All,

Thank you for all the precious advices.

Judging from his little gestures, I felt that he should have a little interest in me, is just that my coldness & silence might have frighten him, too bad, hope is still not too late to make him come back to me.

Yeah, is nothing to loose, if I don't contact him and give it a try,I will surely do not know the answer whether does he likes me or not.

Ok I will date him our for dinner since all encourage me to take the initiative to contact him.

Wish me luck guys!!

Thank you,

Kin

LazyGuy agony auntDepends, how much did you like him?

It could simply be that he saw you, though "no" but kept the date going because, well he was hungry. To bad, it happens, get over it.

If he was intrested you may have very effictevly send him all the signals to make clear that you loathed him and hated every second with him. This could have killed any intrest he had in you. To bad, it happens, get over it.

Maybe he is confused, he likes you, thought the date went well, but got no confirmation from you so decided not to be pushy and give up. Not so bad, it happens, your time to make a move.

Since you got a mutual friend surely it should be possible to find out what he is thinking? Take her advice, call him and talk to him, you might want to bring up that you liked the date or even invite him depending on how daring you are.

Because what have you got to loose?

But yeah, you are were giving ALL the wrong signals. You don't have to be chatty, but at least pay attention.

Not sure why he did not contact you since it went pretty well. If this was not a blind date then yes contact him and let him know you had a good time, ect. but only contact him once. Thats enough to clearly put the ball in his court. His actions after that will let you know if he is interested.

duskyrowe agony auntHe may have felt extremely uncomfortable sitting in silence and felt he had to make all the effort, that is probably why he did not contact you. Next time before you go on a date with any guy, buy yourself a dating book so that you can date successfully. I have just read a brilliant book by the Relationship guru Tracey Cox who give sound advice about first dates turning into second/third dates..... so on and so forth. Her book is called Hot Relationships.

Dating is can be a very complex thing, ie making good impressions, sending out right signals, flirting etc etc.

Good Luck and hope everything goes well Dusky xxx
