He claims he didn't get my texts... something fishy here don't you think?

I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and just recently had to switch it up to a long distance relationship when he moved this past summer. We seemed to be holding strong but now for some reason I think he is lying to me. This past Friday I called and text him hoping he would call me back and he never did. The next day when I once again called him he claims to have never gotten those calls or texts. It seems pretty convenient how he can get all my other texts and calls except this one.
