The last few weeks my boyfriend tells me he has been having nightmares about me leaving him for other guys, i can tell he is having nightmares because he tosses and turns and then when he wakes up he tells me about how i chose another guy in the dream or how i ran to his house with another guy following me..

i have assured him i would never cheat nor have i ever done so . in his previous relationship he cheated on his ex numerous times, could this be his fear or am i just reading into it too much? what is going on?

A reader, anonymous, writes (22 July 2010):

Sometimes after people cheat, they project their actions onto others. He might be paranoid because he knows he's capable of it.

Some people say dreams are just your brain putting things together at random, others say they mean something.

Unless he starts to accuse you of cheating, give him a hug and kiss and curl up with him after his nightmares.
