A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *ezz writes:

I really like this lad and when we are alone or around my mates he acts nice and he says things like what he would do to me if we were alone and he says he likes me. BUT one night he invited me to watch him play football so i went and he completely blanked me out, i think its because he was with his mates. What do you think i should do?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (13 January 2008):

Move onwards and upwards to someone better! Immature boys often act in this way, they are scared of what their mates will say if they are flirty with a girl. Sometimes however even Men act the same way, it just shows they have little courage, and would make a rubbish boyfriend!

If I was you I would just ignore him back, if he asks why tell him that he acted like an idiot and you arent interested. Dont take any rubbish from him.
