I met a guy recently through one of my friends. We seemed to get on well and after that he asked my friend to get me to contact him. I decided to so I emailed him but he hasn't replied back to me. Now I feel stupid for getting in touch and also annoyed that he ignored me. Should I just forget it or try again?

Thank you both for your replies, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. It's been a week since I emailed and I heard he was away for a few days of that so I guess I will wait and see for a bit. It does feel a bit embarressing as it was his work email which I know he uses to contact my friend. Anyway you're both right there could tons of reasons.
