 If it was that finger he asked for then I would say there is a very good chance that is what he is wanting it for but I wouldn't get your hopes up incase it isn't as it could well be a friendship ring or just a committment ring or he might just have asked for future reference because if he asks now you will still be surprised if he left it long enough before he got you one rather than asking size just before buying one.
