writes: Since several of my friends fell victim to some nasty STDs, I decided to make it a rule to never sleep with a woman unless she got tested and showed me the results ( and I would in turn of course ).However I feel this simply doesn't fly with most women as I've quite literally had two relationships that lasted 2 and 3 months die because I refused to have sex with the girl unless she got tested.My current girlfriend initiated an open convo about sex on our 5th date ( 3 weeks in ) and I told her my policy.2 months later we're spending more time together, but still no glaring attempt on her part to have sex.I might be naive, but I think she just has a hard time making the time to get tested, as she doesn't have a car and wouldn't want to ask me to drive her to a clinic that has the testing.Should I bring it up directly or just forget about the testing?

the thing to tell her is you are horny as hell, but want to be sure you are both clean. The sex afterwards is wow because you know it. rather than have a nagging doubt.
go get it booked and then go - I know people who give a false name.

Well it's easy.
Just tell her that you are making an appointment to get checked out yourself and would she like to come with you? You can book her in for the same time if she'd like.
Tell her it would be nice to have someone to hold hands with in the waiting room. plus you'd get your results at the same time that way.
Also, you haven't mentioned condoms in your question. get to know them. They are your friend.
