We went out for 5-6 times and I had the idea everything was going fine. One day she send me a text message telling me that she met someone else and that she did not want to see me anymore. I told her I did not understand but that I would accepted it and I moved on. Recently (so 6 months after the text message) I have send her a text to ask her how things were going and if she wanted to have diner with me. She agreed and I we had a nice time together. We did not talk about what happended before. Now I realise I still like her but feel like an idiot trying to start something with her again.

I think you can give it a shot, but ask her first and check that she isn't already in a relationship with someone else.
Also, be careful and go slow. If she isn't a person who can commit and stick to one guy at a time, then she'll ditch you again as soon as she finds someone new. You want to make sure that last time was an exception, and not the rule.
