Not a relatioship problem but a health one, do women have a higher or lower pain threshold on their period or not? The reason I want to know is because I have to have a blood test and I hate needles so I want to know the best time to go and have it done without feeling too ill or feeling more pain. Thanks

Not that you may ever read this but I went today and had my blood test done! I am so proud of myself and I had a lovely phlebotmist who talked me through it all and I looked away and concentrated on something else. It's taken 6 months to get there but I am so grateful for your advice-so thanks Gina and Satindesire. Much appreciated

Well my luck is that I am on and in great pain at the moment!Lol, but I might have to go regardless this week as what they think I might have is affecting me quite severly so the sooner they diagnose something, the better, and as I have exams soon I can't really put it off. But is it that much lower?, because I have a low pain threshold anyway, I take painkillers for headaches and period pains unlike some people who endure it(I personally don't see why), I'm not a druggie or anything-just when I'm in pain, it's usually bad.

Thanks for your help, I think I'll just have a painkiller and think calm, relaxing thoughts and maybe treat myself to a strabucks afterwards!

Thank you so much for responsing Satindesire and Ginalolabrigada-I should have gone in October put I've put it off and I've kind of got worse physically so I really have to go now. I'm planning to take a friend with me, but Satindesire did you say not to go on your period? Why? Is it to do with pain being lower at that time?

Thank you both again
