He can't have used you, no promises were made, it dosen't sound like you asked for a relationship or asked for him to be your boyfriend. It sounds like you two decided to have sex and nothing else was arranged.
He called you again, maybe he likes you. Maybe his phone is broken, maybe he felt rejected and thinks you got a boyfriend.
Why can't you call him, you want to spend time with him, then call him up and ask him for a date, and be clear this time about what it is that you want from him. Men are not mind readers, he might want to do the boyfriend/girlfriend thing..
