Hello

About a month ago I started to speak to a really nice guy.. he told me he liked me.. but I didnt at the time find him very attractive at all.. we got on really well - his name's steve. I was seeing someone at at the time as well. Anyway when things broke off with the guy I was seeing I was lonely, so started talking more to Steve... I found him soo lovely and we chatted to much.

I eventually agreed to meet up with him, and was intending to try and make a 'shag buddy' out of him.. rather than a relation ship - but didnt tell him that.

Anyway we met up and he came round to my house. I wanted to sleep with him.. because I didnt think I liked him that much.. didn't see a relationship between us on the cards. He didnt want to sleep with me, he said that he liked me so so much and didnt want things between me and him to be like with all the other girls. He said he likes me more than hes ever liked any girl. Anyway eventually that night I persuaded him to sleep with me. (a weeks ago) He said he was soo nervous coming to meet me, because he liked me so much - he had butterflys etc.

After he'd gone home he was texting me telling me how happy I made him and how much he liked me and that he wanted to be with me. I said to him that I wasnt sure to say straight away and that I'd likE to see him more before making a commitment straiht away (we'd met once)

I didnt realise that I would actually end up liking him as much as I do.. we chat on the phone all the time. Anyway he was meant to come and see me this weeknd (he lives about and hour and half away) but he cancelled on on me. He was texting me seeing if I was ok) We chatted on the phone. The thing is I sense that he has backed off a bit.. he isnt as responsive to me as he was. I'm wondring if it's because he can sense that I really like him now.

Typical.. the minute I atcually start to have feeling for him.. he backs off a bit. I'm not sure what to do now. Could he have gone off me that quick.. from texting me all week after we'd slept togther to now.. not really making as much effort? Do you think it was the thrill of chase with him? I'm not sure what I should do now.. I'm upset that he promised to see me this weekend and cancelled and also took so long replying to my text yesterday. I really like him and he must know I do. He even asked me if I thought I could fall in love with him because he said he could me..

What do you think of this?...

A reader, anonymous, writes (29 June 2009):

For one dear, I can't say what exactly is going on with him...maybe he is just busy these days with work or so and can not get to you as fast as you would like, maybe you should find out from him.

If he is indeed pulling away from you (which I don't know) then I think you got what you wanted. He obviously did not want to have sex with you but you persuaded him anyway. You did not consider his feelings and only abused it for you own needs. That would be why he explained to you , that he did want what had happened in the past (with other girls) to repeat so maybe it has happened again and he has seen this.

Well I guess I hope it is the 1st reason. Only time will tell. So let us know how it goes, maybe we can help better as time progresses, atm don't jump to conclusions.
