Hello,

I'm on a birth control (Lybrel) with the only purpose to end my periods. That is the function of Lybrel. However, I've been taking the pill for almost four months now and I've been bleeding/staining EVERYDAY eversince. I want to know if anyone here ever tried the pill and if anyone had the same effects. Did periods ever ended? or has anyone had any positive or negative effects?

The same happened to me but I've got the implant. Your body just needs to adjust and sort it self out a little bit, kinda like when you first start your periods.

This happened to me!!

I was on a different pill but it had the same effect. Isn't it horrible???

I went back to the doc and they put me on a different brand and I'm still having issues a bit but no more perma-period.

Have you thought about different type of contraception all together?

Talk to your doctor / nurse about the coil and any other none hormonal methods of contraception.

Good Luck!! xx

jaime90 agony auntdefinitely see your doctor! You should probably even stop taking it, there is no way you should be bleeding everyday. Everyone reacts different to different pills and you will probably have to switch maybe to a low dose pill that dont cause side effects.

ArmyMedic agony auntThis sounds like you are on a Progesterone based pill and this is a common side effect, you may want to go back and see you Doctor and try something else. Sorry I can't be more help.
