Hi my 16 year old sister is going horse back riding for the first time . one day she was looking up things about sex , virginity and other stuff. mostly on dr. drew's web site and gurl.com about the hymen that we women have she found out that the hymen can break only during sex but other activities . she knows it will hurt a little during sex , plus i told her. any way when she found out that it can break during horse back riding she was shocked . see our aunt and uncle asked her to go horse back riding . i would ride with them but i am four months pregnant. anyway she is freaked out because she feels it will hurt when she is on the horse . she is only going for one day but i can't help her . has any body had their hymen broken while riding a horse and if so did it hurt ?

your advice would be helpful thank you .

I've been riding my entire life (literally) and, yes, I do believe I've broken my hymen riding. It happened when I was 12 or 13, when I was first learning to post. I felt a little twinge of pain, and there was very very slight bleeding, but that was it. Not a big deal or anything. Tell your sister not to worry- since I'm assuming she's never ridden before, I doubt she'll be doing anything that would possibly cause her hymen to break :) And, like in my situation, the time it broke was far from the first time I got on a horse.

hotstuff agony aunthey i have been going horse back riding once every week for about 2 years now, and I don't think I have broken my hymen. You see there is no real way to tell unless you go to the dr., so even if I did break my hymen I didn't feel any pain, so I really don't think she needs to worry! I don't think that one time can really do any harm, but i guess it depends on the person. I don't think she has anything to worry about! I hope this helped, and the best of luck!! Horse back riding is my passion, and i hope that she will go, because I know she will enjoy it!! i wish I could come too!!
