If a few yrs. later things did not work out with this other person and he decides he want to give your relationship another try did you end up taking him back and if yes, did it end up working out the second time around? Although, you truly still loved him were you able to totally forgive him and trust him, again?Also, did any of you wait around without dating anyone else after the breakup for many yrs. in hopes that he would come back to you? I would appreciate hearing your stories.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 September 2011): I was with my ex for 3 years before he left me for another woman.
He begged foregiveness, said he'd made a mistake and I took him back a few months later.
Things wernt the same though, I didn't trust him, nagged him endlessly about were he'd been, he'd get defensive etc
Cut a long story short I ended it after 3 months because I was too angry at what he did and I hated him for it.
I found out a month after I kicked him out that he'd never actually stopped seeing this other woman.
