So I made my first prenatal visit and the doctor says he doesn't see a fetus. He then told me he was rushing me to the emergency room. So I'm at the emergency room there running the same test that my doctor did. I had a ultrasound that last approximately one hour and thirty minutes. The doctor thought i was pregnant in my tubes. They study the test and came up with nothing and told me to wait it out. My doctor wants to see me Sunday for more blood work. Im so scared and worried. My question is has anyone experience this and what was the outcome. Reply to this Question Share |

It's not easy to have been delivered such news and now have to wait and not know what to expect. Just know that nearly all physicians are well-trained and will take good care of you. If anything comes up, definitely go to the ER right away and have it looked at.
I am in no way a doctor, but it looks like in ectopic pregnancies, the embryo cannot fully develop, so if it does not resolve itself, the doctor may have to give you a drug or perform a minimally invasive surgery (something that is at the discretion of the doctor to advise you after examining you) to stop the growing cells from causing damage to your body.
I am extremely sorry if you were wanting to get pregnant and for the pain and suffering this ordeal may be causing you; if not, it looks as though the doctor can resolve the matter in a way that it will not be too invasive for you. Please take care, and definitely have your friends and family with you to take care of you and lean on. You will make it through this. Consult your doctor for all the facts regarding your case and situation. Like I said before, I am not a doctor, but I'm just saying what I know from info I've found and learned in the past. I just hope to give you some comfort by being here as someone who cares and hopes you are taking care of yourself and recover safely.
