First is to make sure your hair is super moisturized, get a deep conditioning treatment for instance. Then, you need to avoid silicones, shampoos with sodium lauryl/lauruth sulfate, heat treating and chlorine.

I know you say you want to have silky straight hair, but sweetie if it isn't in your genes, it's not really going to happen! You will just damage your hair by chemically straightening it until it's so dry and messed up you will wish you had no hair at all! I've just grown out a chemical straightening, took me 3 YEARS!! and now I don't know why I did it in the first place!
Be proud of your hair! Having straight, silky caucasian hair isn't the only way to look pretty...

You can chemically straighten your hair, it's only usually around 50-70 dollars depending on where abouts you live.. It lasts for about as long as a perm does and causes about the same amount of damage. Consider that or buying a better flat iron from a salon.

Have you tried getting a shower in the evening and straightening your hair before you go to bed? In the morning it would only be a little wavy but it's not hard to take thoses out in like 5 minutes.

i sometimes grad bits of hair, twist it right round untill it become tight and wrap it round into like a knot kind of thing... put a bit of heat (like hold straighteners on it)on it and undo it and it will be quite curly.. if you separate it you'll have smaller curls! sorry if i was no help! xx
