writes:im seriously confused. ive been havin unprotected sex with my boyfriend and my period is over a week late. im not always regular but im fairly close to the same date most of the time. my mothers keeps on pressuring me because she thinks i might be pregnant, but ive been having period pains since the weekend (i always suffer from period pains). is is possible for a woman to be pregnant and still have their period pains?please help, im so scared.

If you had unprotected sex it is most likely that you are pregnant. I heard that it is possible to even have bleeding while being pregnant. You need to be careful and my best advice to you is either get a pregnancy test or go to the doctor. Listen to your mom's words because she's had more experience than you. You should already know that having unprotected sex is the main reason for pregnancies.

You've been having un-protected sex.
So it is highly likely that you are pregnant.
These pains could still happen while you are pregnant.
Go and get a test.
If you are not pregnant then USE CONDOMS from now on and get on the pill. Don't be so stupid again.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 September 2008): take a pregnancy test. some of the signs of early pregnancy are the same symptoms as your period. if you've been having unprotected sex then there is a chance that you are pregnant. good luck
