I had what i thought was my period last week but it was lighter than usual and i feel like i could be pregnant. Is it too early to take a test and can i actually be pregnant if i had my period?

If in doubt go to your doctor, family planning clinic or local GU Medicine department.
You have been in this situation before and know your body better than anyone else, I don't think we can seriously advise anything other than seek a professionals opinion.

you may be worrying about being pregnant because you were pregnant before - the worry of being pregnant can stress you out and make your perios late or lighter and sometimes even cause phantom symptoms.
By all means take a test, wait it out till your next period if you can and test then if you miss it - chances are, if you used protection, you shouldnt get pregnant and if you had a period, even if it was light, you probably arent pregnant, but you never can tell and the only way to put your mind at ease is to take a test.
good luck xx

and remember no protection method guarantees 100% protection from pregnancy.
hope it helped good luck
