reader, anonymous, writes (28 June 2012): Never once have I ever asked a random girl for her phone number and only wanted to be friends. There is no guy in the history of mankind that does ask for a random girls number and only wants to be friends.

Not me no, I kind of like the fact that I have a girlfriend other guys want but my girlfriend isn't stupid enough to give out her phone number to guys or to just assume that a random guy who adds her on Facebook or suddenly starts wanting to spend time with her is just being "friendly". So I don't have a problem with her being admired because she doesn't feed that and she acts appropriately.
If however she gave guys her phone number, started having friendly "chats" with guys who turn up out of nowhere I'd quickly lose my trust in her.
