Guys' opinion on girls wearing bright lipstick?

What do guys think of bright lipstick on girls, be it bright pink, red, or whatever? I love wearing bright lipcolors (and no, I don't look like a clown) but I don't want to scare away any guys.

A funny thing is that my own mother keeps telling me "don't wear bright lipstick!" I don't know why or how it bothers her...

I think if you like wearing bright lipstick, you should wear it, regardless of what other people say or think. I understand you don't want to scare guys away, but I don't think you will. I think it will have the opposite effect! If you like wearing bright lipstick, it will make you feel more confident, which will be attractive to guys. Just be yourself, and you will attract the right people to you! x

Hi, I'm quite fond of deep dark red lipsticks myself! A guy I met recently saw a photo of me wearing a red lipstick and said 'love the lipstick' and said something about it being 'nice in the bedroom'! Another guy I was dating didn't really like any make up at all .. preferred the natural look so it takes all sorts. Hence the best thing is to find a style that suits you and just be yourself because men will vary in their tastes and you can't go around choosing lipsticks to please men cos you won't please them all anyway!

I had a good Clinique one which ran out then I got another one (but I was rushing at the counter that day) but it was the wrong shade and looked awful & an Auntie said to me 'the lipstick is wearing you not the other way around'! Very funny and I have to say she was right. I've since got another shade and it's perfect. The Chanel look has long been a good red lipstick and you can even get away with it with smoky eyes if you are careful and don't overdo either, although some make up artists say choose between strong eye make up OR strong lipstick and keep the rest subtle. If you wear a good quality lipstick that actually suits your skin tone and makes the best of your lips and blot it with a tissue after applying it can look sexy and tasteful at the same time & some of the lipsticks can make your lips look fuller which can look very sexy & lot of guys love that!! The wrong shade of red for any of us can look hideous though, as I discovered! :) Red stained lips can look nice too, like some of the berry colours, so it looks like you've been eating a cherry rather than actually putting on loads of lipstick. Sometimes it's nice to wear softer nude colours too with a hint of red/red gloss depending on what you're wearing etc .. Sorry if this is a bit of a long essay on make-up! Re guys, I think they see an overall picture and person, not just the lipstick so if you're clean and well put together and looking good generally AND the lipstick suits you, you'll look great. I'm going to check this post again cos I'm curious to hear what actual guys will say to you! :) x

No offense if you wear it, but it reminds me of the stereotypical cheap hooker when I see it, so it comes off as cheapening, no matter who's wearing it..just my opinion.

I'm a man and red lipstick is nice and gloss lipstick makes a woman very attractive to look at. My opinion.
