He's brought me out, treated me to food and movies, would come all the way to my neighbourhood (1.5 hrs) to meet me when I feel down. I talked to him about us before, and he said that there was nothing between us but friendship. So I took his words for real, and continued treating him like a close one. I was thinking maybe this is what having a guy bestfriend feels like. But when I share about friendships to men (3 men) in my life, all are telling me he likes me and that apparently it's obvious? I even told them that this guy has said otherwise, but all insisted that he does like me but could be holding back due to something. All three of them don't know each other, and all said a similar thing, "Ya, and you believe him?" The guy did tell me he won't pursue me because he feels intimidated by my previos 7 year relationship. And all the three guys are warning me to not mess with this guy's feelings?!!I genuinely enjoy this friendship. But everyone's confusing my head. What do you think? He told me what he feels, everyone's telling me otherwise.

People just love sticking their nose in and having an opinion. If he says it is friendship then believe him.

The guy in question has told you there is nothing but friendship. Why be disrespectful and refuse to believe him? He knows what he thinks and feels .... not those other people.

Then the guy is right....What others say or think, has no power over what the guy himself says.
If you said you do not like a certain guy, but other think and say you do...who is telling the truth?
