He texts or phones me almost every day and I would contact him sometimes too (communication is not all one way) and has said that he really likes me. We arranged to meet up, it was his idea. Then he cancels at the last minute. saying that he had to work. Fair enough, the problem is he is now gone all cold and distant on me as if i did something wrong. Im very confused, I don't know if i should contact him or wait until he is ready to talk. A male perspective would be great.

Hmm, a drastic change like that is usually a bad sign. Maybe send a small "hey, how's it going?" message, but if you don't hear back, let it go.He may have chickened out, he may have realized something may not work, he may have met someone else. It's impossible to know, but one thing is for sure: if he doesn't contact you, he's no longer interested.I had something similar happen to me not long ago. I reached out a couple of times, and when it was ignored, I used that as the answer to my question. It hurts, and it sucks, but there isn't anything you can really do either except deal and move on.Good luck.
