writes:Will I ever hit a growth spurt? As far as I know I haven't had one. I mean I've grown a lot since sixth grade. I've grown a foot since then and I am in the 9th grade. But many people I know have grown a lot like 5-7 inches in a year. I am averaging 3-4. I was 4'7 in 6th grade and I'm now 5'7 and I wear a size 12 1/2-13 shoe so will I hit one? Will I be tall? reader, anonymous, writes (23 February 2009): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI'm 15 and most people in my family are 5'10 and up my dad is not as tall my grandpa (6 foot 1) because he starting smoking in the 7th grade and it stunted his growth. He also had so much lack of sleep. he's around 5'9 or 10. but im also half filipino the average man is 5'2 in the Philippines but my cousins are starting to be tall. My mom is only 4'10. but my brothers are 5'11 and 6'1 but their mothers were short also.
