A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So I was really mad at my boyfriend (of 2 years) for something he did and I wasn't contacting him in anyway. Well I gave him a house key to my apartment (we're planning to move in together) and he randomly show up with some flowers he brought me. A while ago I got horrible food poisoning and ever since I been vomiting a lot. When my boyfriend walk in on me I was throwing up in the toilet. He started asking me if I have a eating disorder (his sister had bulimia for a year and still geting treatment for it) then he wouldn't let me have a explanation he just stormed off. What should I do?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (7 June 2009):

Do you not have phones?

Text him or ring him and tell him you have food poisoning.

He's obviously been pretty traumatised by seeing his sister doing that to herself so seeing you do it was bound to give him a little mini-flashback to the time when he had to watch his sister try and kill herself through starvation and purging.

Let him know you aren't well and that you love him.

Don't be angry with him just let him calm down.

Good Luck!! xx
