reader, anonymous, writes (8 April 2010): This is verified as being by the original poster of the questioni know i have to be 18 but i do teen bikini shoots aswell and i need to look toned for that, as i wont get work if i am fat, and yes i do know a size 12 is avarage but in the modeling world it is classed as fat. i have been told by my manager
and to be honest i came on here for advise and i know i cannot do it full time and i have to wait till i am 18 until i can actully do nude shoots but there is diff sides to the 'glamour' meaning of modeling everyone thinks or shes a slag, fake, thick tart. but i asure you that is surley not the case. i am 15, i have not had sex and dont want to until i am with a man i truley love because i know the risks and listen to them! also i am not that thick at all i am doing my gcses and may i say am doing quite well, i want to go to collage and uni as i understand that my modeling days will end i came on here for tips to get back in shape as i have a photo shoot coming up and also what the ideal sizes where for glamour modeling and why wait till i am 18 to train when i have the aim to start now
all people have done is told me things i know apart from the person who said size 6/8, nobody has gave me tips on diets/and toning up so any help will still be very much apreciated.
AND YES I KNOW THERE IS PROBABLY SPELLING MASTAKES IN THE ABOVE SO DONT START GOING ON ABOUT THAT
THANKS

You have to be 18., and Glamour modelling is not for life, it is only suitable for 20year olds. You still need to get an education, for when your career is over. You need mathematics to work out how to save your money so you don't waste it on rubbish. You need English to apply for jobs, so you don't sound stupid and ignorant. You will also need some type of sports. Gymnastics, ballet, trampolining, anything that helps with balance and posture will be good.
To be a glamour model and get work, you have to the best and it's more than just having a good body. You have to have all types of skills.

Like the others already pointed out though you'll have to be 18 to work as a glamour model so plenty of time to train.

I wouldn't worry too much now as you are too young and to put it bluntly glamour modelling is aimed at titillating men - and a 13 - 15 will only titillate a peadophile. Why not just do some cardio to keep healthy, some small weights, focus on school work and then when you are 18 or so start thinking about it seriously then? The work would probably dry up when you hit your late 20s early 30s anyway so why not be smart and get yourself a back up plan or some decent qualifications so that you can have the best of both worlds.
