reader, anonymous, writes (5 July 2011): definitely not. please don't be a jerk. i've seem to crush on jerks a lot and i don't end up with anything but a collection of tears. it depends on the women you meet. if she's run into enough jerks, trust me she'll be sick of it. she'll be so ready to find a nice guy. i know i am... don't give up. just be sweet. there's always a time a woman wishes she had a nice guy. don't give up. :)

reader, anonymous, writes (5 July 2011): Some women, usually in their younger years, claim to be more mature... but end up falling for the danger of having a jerk for a boyfriend.
It's exciting, like saying 'screw you' to all the rules.
But in the end, they choose to have proper, serious relationships, long term, with guys that don't treat them like dirt.
Just be who you are, and if the women don't like it, then they were never worth bothering with. Just try and be confident, but make sure you don't let that fall into arrogance... an easy thing to do.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 July 2011): Not true at all. Girls usually think the jerks are the nice guys until the guy does something incredibly hurtful. Girls like nice guys and just because they're not with one at the time doesn't mean you can assume their taste in men.
You'll find a girl right for you and becoming a jerk isn't the way to do it.
