writes: My girlfriend and i have been together for nearly a year. Ive never cheated on her or came close to. But she wont let me go out by myself. Out to clubs, even with my brother or friends. Private partys or anything, shes a couple of months younger and so cannot go to these places but reckons i cannot either. She cries over everything and reckons i dont care. I think you need to tell her that you love her but you can't be a prisoner in a relationship.
If she loves you, why doesn't she trust you?
Also, why doesn't SHE have a life? Where are all her nights out with her friends? Tell her to get a life of her own so you can have one too.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 April 2010): If she's only a few months younger why can't you just wait until she is old enough to go out with you? But not letting you go out on your own is silly. Dont let her keep you in a leash, she needs to learn to trust you and not be so clingy.
