A good diet and plenty of water is a must for acne, try some of the facial washes available over the counter, don't go straight for the hard core stuff as that can damage your skin and cause sensitivities (Anon: Salicylic Acid - Aspirin is quite hard on your skin and you should get medical advice first!)
If you have tried all this already then seek advise from your doctor, but I can't stress enough that the two main reasons for acne is:
1, Your Age - you'll get older and it will pass with time.
2, Your Diet - don't eat junk food and fizzy drinks

There are many options available, however I’d advise you to first visit a dermatologist. Your regular family doctor can refer you. There are a lot of rumours and misinformation about acne; both in what causes it and what can supposedly cure it. It is better to go to an actual doctor who specializes in the skin with a list of questions to get the record set straight. Also, they can prescribe medication you can’t get over the counter. Even ProActive contains only trace amounts of the medication you can get through a doctor. In extreme cases the doctor might even prescribe Accutane; the most powerful anti-Acne drug on the planet. After 6 months of taking 1 pill a day, over 80% of people never get acne anywhere on their body ever again. However it comes with a boat-load of possible side-effects, so it is only prescribed in rare cases where the acne is either unresponsive to regular treatment, or it is so severe that the doctor does not feel that regular treatment will work, or if the individual is so upset by their acne that their quality of life is suffering in an extreme way (refusing to leave the house, go to work, wanting to be seen, etc)There is hope even for the worse cases. It may take time (don’t expect to find a magic overnight cure immediately!) but there are many options and treatments available. But always remember, real beauty comes from within!Hope this helps.
