writes:I've been together with my boyfriend for about 2 years now. When I knew him, he was somewhat of a player and just liking to get attention from the ladies and stuff like that. I didn't really think anything of it at that time because I didn't expect our relationship to become actually serious. Recently, he left his phone over at my house and I took a peek at it (I know this was bad of me but for some reason at that moment I just sorta justified my own actions). In his phone, I found text messages from various girls. Examples of a couple of messages include:-"yay im coming back tomorrow, i know you cant wait to see me :P"-"miss you 3"-"hahah you're just sooo handsome though"There similar messages like that. I was just kinda shocked to see those messages because I had no idea that my boyfriend was even that close to those girls, he doesn't talk much about those particular friends. I mean I knew who they were and such but didn't know that my boyfriend was actually talking to them a whole lot. The outgoing messages on his phone was deleted so I have no idea how he responded to those messages. I haven't confronted him about the issue yet but I feel really bothered by the way he is interacting with those girls. Im not really sure if I'm the one who is over-reacting here and I don't want to start a fight when I'm the one being unreasonable (having invaded his privacy and all). It'd be great to know what some neutral third-party opinions are!

reader, anonymous, writes (15 December 2009): I guess the main thing stopping me from confronting him is that I really don't know how he responded to these girls. But then again, if the girls are talking to him like in that way, then he must be allowing that behaviour to carry on...right? I'm just so confused now! Any other opinion would be great before I actually confront him about it tonight.

 i would be furious!!!! i dont feel a guy in a relationship should be texting other girls on that level, so its up to you what makes you happy and comfortable but if my man was doing that i would leave him.
