Yes it does hurt. As it is your first time and even for the next while your partner needs to be gentle with you and make sure he uses plenty of lubrication and goes gentle. It does get better.

Hurts more if the guy has no patience, and no clue.
You need to relax...or try going on top so that you control how fast.

There seemed to be an almost burning sensation. Go carefully and soon your body will adjust itself and you'll find it very pleasurable.
