Female issues: guidance please?

Question - (2 June 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 June 2008)
A female Iceland age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have been on the pill for over a year, but I've recently changed brands to one that is better for long term use (Gynera).

I had a bit of a scare last week, when I was on the week-long "break": I was clear for over 3 days (my period started on the 4th), when it usually starts on the 3rd day. It's exam season, I had been late with a few of my pills this cycle (the reason I was worried- not the day late, I would normally chalk that up to stress).

I started taking my active pills a day early, too, on Saturday, because of a train trip my guy and I were taking. I have been experiencing light pink "spotting" since then, but very on-and-off...

Is it normal for this to happen under these circumstances? I've never noticed it before. My last cycle started several days early with spotting, then became a regular period, then stopped the day I started the pill again.

Thanks!

Spotting is common, even when your on the pill. However I'm no doctor. I suggest you book an appointment with your doctor for better advice and support.
