Fainting attacks and dizzy spells: can anyone tell me what this is?

A female age 30-35, *iss trust writes:

Hello,

for the last 8 years, i have had fainting and collapsing attacks or similar. I start to feel dizzy, i start to shake, my heartbeat is really fast and i either end up fainting or i am close to it. This has happened every 3-6 months since i was 11, i am now 19.

In the last 2 weeks, this has been happening more, nearly every day. I went to the doctors, described my symptoms and they told me i probably had low sugar levels in my body. However, after a test, i was told my blood sugar levels are too high. I looked up the symptoms for both of these, high dugar levels and low and realise i get both set of symptoms at once. I am going for more blood tests soon.

Can someone tell me what is going on with me?

Hi, my little sister is going through the same thing as you. She is 17. I put up a question about it a while ago and felt as though I got some really helpful answers.

I am not a doctor - I know that sugar levels can be linked to diabetes but I am sure that your doctor probably would of picked up on it ages ago.

I know my friend used to faint all the time when ever they felt a little bit hot. They never found out the reason but over time it has got better.

I have never heard of anything like this - So I wish you the best of luck and keep me posted on what it is :D

Im sure you will be fine xx
