I'm quite shy and haven't been in the area for that long, so I want to try online dating. Does anybody have any experience with Match.com? I don't want to pay for something that won't work. I tried eHarmony, but was rejected :) I think, since the site is run by an evangelical christian, I was turned down because I am decidedly NOT religious, and also, it will not allow you to seek out partners of the same sex, or list yourself as bisexual, which I am. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

I have no experience with that particular site, but know it has worked for friends and such. I think really though, when it comes to finding a partner online, and i'm talking from experience here, you want to be very picky with locations, as a long distance relationship is actually hell, and a lot of the time more hassle than it's worth, and more than not, usually ends in one of the people, if not both, ending up extremely hurt. Hey, here's an idea that may be better, why don't you get out and mingle with people and try and pick someone up that way? :) x

My uncle met his wife on eharmony.
He didn't date for a really long time becuae he wanted to live with my g-ma while she was old. She had illnesses so he wanted to help. So when he ws 40, he was still a virgin adn wanted a virgin lady too. And he found someone, which i think is crazy and so cool! So anyway, they got married and are still perfect for each other.
