Experienced Mothers: Can you help a pregnant teen with some questions?

hi people.

I'm a new parent to be, ill be 18 in a month exactly, I know im young but thats not why I'm here, to be told that. So, I was wondering if anyone has had similiar symptoms as I have, Im in my first trimester and ive lost my appetite, no sore breasts yet, dizzy/fatigue, headaches, etc. But what I was really wondering about is, can soda harm you while youre pregnant? I drank part of a soda and it literally hurt going down. Is it supposed to feel like that?

There are so many things I would like to ask experienced moms or mothers to be out there, so any bit of feedback possible would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Hi. Yes, you are much more prone to acid and heartburn problems when pregnant, but it's great that you noticed how different your body responded to the soda now than before the pregnancy. That is what is trying to get your attention here, that your body has taken over! Your cravings and habits are no longer the main determiner of what you will eat; your child is. You can get basic nutrition info on the web (please, you already know that sodas are considered bad for you any time), but the wonderful opportunity you have here is to study your increased awareness of yourself, to listen to what your child and your body are aware of and wanting to tell you. Enjoy the experience. Even when it's difficult, it is one hell of a wonderful ride!
