If your boyfriend broke up with you twice, my question is why did you try 3 more times? You can keep going back but I don't think things will ever change. As for this new guy, if you like him, what difference does it make if others (including your ex) don't??

Well unless you are planing on getting to an even number before you have enough, then go for it.
5 times...spin that around in your head for a while....and you get...5 times that somebody thought you were not good enough for them, but wants a 6th time to tell you...what?
If you go buy food, and 5 times they won't let you in, do you go back a 6th time just to make sure? Or do you go some place else?
I bet in real life, you wouldn't go back the same place 5 times just to hear "no" :)
