writes: I'm really upset because I'm 14 now and I've never had a boyfriend. I've never even kissed a boy and ever since my 14th birthday it's really gotten to me and I've been really upset. I don't think I'm very ugly but guys dont seem to fancy me. I know boys aren't really important but I've been longing for a boyfriend. What can I do to get one?

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2005): I know that you think it all matters now, but when you're older you will notice that all the pretty girls in school are dogs and unemployed teenage mums etc and all the not so pretty girls in school turn into princesses! Like me! ha ha There's no rush to get a boyfriend. when you're older you will be fighting them off with a stick! So enjoy yourself with your friends while you can!

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2005): Hi Sweety.You said it yourself boys aren`t important and as silly as this may sound you need to be comfortable with yourself before you can show a confidence that can attract attention.Confident women and girls carry themselves differently.Perhaps you act a little shy which can be seen as being aloof or unaproachable.Learn to love yourself first.I had the same problem but as i got a bit older my confidence grew and so did the way i walked i stood tall held my head high and just didn`t try to get anyones attention and the attention came to me.I know you have probably heard all this before but you really are at an age where you are discovering so many new and deep feelings inside you.I am sure that when you are really comfortable with who you are then you will start to shine and you will wonder why you were worrying about this in the first place.Be patient a little longer and you will see.I hope this will help a bit.Take care and really don`t worry the best things really do come to those who wait.Good luck and take care.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2005): I am 18 yr old male and i have not kissed a girl nor had a girlfriend. Dont be so desperate, believe it or not it shows with your body language. Socialising alot might help, you could also join faceparty (you aren't old enough, but there are more 13-15 yr olds then 16+)
