Easy cookbook for my wife?

My wife has never done any but the easiest cooking. I have always done it all, including the housekeeping, bills, insurance, etc. We are temporarily separating because of a certain problem we're having, and I would like the title and author of a simple cookbook she could use during this time. I myself have never used a cookbook since I learned how to cook beginning at age six from my mother. Any recommendations?
