writes:I'm so embarassed!I got drunk last night and text the ex.Someone somewhere got their wires crossed, or the ex is just denying it for whatever reason, but I was told that he'd said he still had feelings for me. So with dutch courage from alcohol, I text him asking why he said that. And he denied that he'd said it.So now I feel like a fool and I'm embarassed and a little disapointed because I'd gotten my hopes up that he wanted to try again.

reader, anonymous, writes (31 March 2008): hahaha! sorry but i did that in 2005- i drunk mailed my ex, talking about our sex life and things. however- we are back in contact now and he laughs about it and said thanks anyway for letting me know how you felt! its no biggie though it is mortifying. it will blow over, just lay low for a while, eh?

 As a sober alcoholic, I've got PLENTY of these stories! Just chalk it up to a learning experience, lay off the booze till you're better emotionally and next time you drink- try hiding your cell! Most people get these kinds of calls or texts from someone at some point. I wouldn't worry too much, it will blow over. Try seeing the humor in it and laugh!
