I've been driving around for a few days now and i am quite nervous! I drive okay but people are so rude on the roads, that i get really stressed out. I wanted to know how to combat this because I'm afraid that the pressure I experience when driving is going to prevent me from doing it. I don't want to have fear! I had the same experience when I first passed my test. Two days after I passed a white van driver going too fast hit me, it was only minor damage and not my fault but I became too scared to drive.
It meant I had my licence but wasn't putting it to good use. Eventually however I got my confidence back, my boyfriend couldn't drive and it was a two hour train ride away so I drove. Gradually over time you get used to it and to other drivers on the road and it becomes less of a problem.

It's just a matter of experience. Your nerves will start to disappear as you become more and more used to driving. You'll get there.

In some states there is no telling whether all the cars around you even have safe brakes and tires and lights.
But 15-18yp kids eagerly start driving here as a normal rite of passage anyway.
Just stay off the phone and keep your eyes open.

A little fear when driving is a good thing, it keeps you from making risky decisions. I think once you've had more experience your fears will lessen. If they don't you may need to get some counseling. It is scary out there on the road, just ask my sternum.
