Hey people,

I don't know if you can help, but here goes. I am going out with this really amazing guy but there an age gap. I'm 16 and he's 20. Does that matter to parents, because my mum, dad and sister wont let me date because I am the clever one who has the good grades and they don't want me to fail like my sister has. But I know I won't fail.

What do I do? What do I say? Should I tell them am seeing someone and that I'm not stupid like my sister because my exams are the most important thing to me? What do you think? I need help bad style.

helpppppp please

If you really like this boy then the age difference doesnt matter! There are some couples out there who are more than 20 years older than the other! Yes i think you should tell your parents, and yes your parents will be concerened about the age difference but its really not a big age difference if you think about it! whats the age gap between your parents? They are in love arent they? well if they dont like the idea, bring your boyfriend round for dinner one day and let him get to know your parents because if you really like this boy, thats the best thing for it. Good luck x

tell them and make sure you let them know that if the relationship gets in the way of your education you will either break up or take a break from him until things have calmed down
