Does she still want him? And if she does, would it be so bad to stay with her anyway?

A male United States age , anonymous writes:

We are both in our 40's, I am 1.5 yrs divorced. I met her 1 yr ago. She had a BF who is 20 yrs younger than her that broke it off 6 mos before I met her. They are still best friends. She seems to need to make him happy, but swears she doesn't want him back. She talks about him a lot and gives him a lot of attention when he's around. They talk all the time and send each other texts daily. Some messages are sexual jokes or funny sexual video clips. I really am in love with her but can't tell if she is still in love with him. And - if she is still in love with him - would it be so bad to stay with her because of how I feel about her. Am I stoopid to want her so bad and will this lead to disaster?
