i think she is probably quite an eccentric person but surpresses it at school so that people do not pick on her
dont worry about it she sounds cool just get to know her better in person thats what really matters

I would suggest something like, "I really enjoy your company at school/you're so funny and cute at school/you're a lot of fun..." "but, sometimes you get a little loopy on aim chat." Younger girls often don't realize they're doing that, and she probably gets very excited to talk to you. Another reason, maybe she's trying to get all your attention, so thinking that constantly IMing you, it will be hard for you to talk to other girls. But, by all means... DO NOT call her crazy, say anything hurtful, or disrespect her. If you think she likes you, and you seem to like her, say something. if you start going out, say... 'this is probably why you constantly IM me, huh?" and laugh, keep it easy and not serious. that will give her a chance to not feel bad and come out with an honest answer. Good Luck
