I dated a guy when i was at school who was really immature and had only one thing on his mind (sex) so in a way selfish but i guess typical of all young blokes they get carried away with their hormones!!! Now at the age of 24 would he be more mature and not as highly driven as before or is that just stupid thinking that he could have changed?

Life experiences and time on this earth both contribute to changes either in personality or processing stuff. Maturity comes from age per se but some people don't even remember how they used to act. Anyway, if this guy has come back into your life and you think you may have something going between the two of you, chances are he will have changed, but how much remains to be seen.

Well, I act completely different now than I did when at school. I was a selfish rebel at school, I still have my moments, but am now much more mature and considerate with everybody.
People grow and mature, personality expands but never completely changes.
I think he probably now has more self respect, self control and is more considerate of those around him.
