writes:Hi im 16 yrs old and i split up with my ex bf mid feb after a 10 months relationship. We were very very close and but he finsihed me after a misunderstanding and was very angry. He got close to a girl called Lucy and then got with her after afew months of our seperation. The thing is it is a long distance relationship. We didnt really talk for ages after splitting but then one day after an argument we had he ran to my house in the pouring rain to sort things out. We became friends again and recently we have been spending alot of time with each other and we get on really well. He hasnt seen his girlfriend for 3 weeks and has started to say to me he misses me. I told him that he missed his girlfriend but becaus I was the first and last person he loved he just turned to me. He insisted he did miss her and she meant alot to him but he also missed me. He keeps hugging me and i can tell theres more theres feeling there. Does he still love me or just miss his girlfriend?

reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2007): In my opinion, you are just his backup. Keep in mind why he broke up with you. A misunderstanding? If he truly loved you, he wouldnt have made such a hasty decision.
